1. Information We Collect

• Account details: name, phone number, and email you provide when registering or booking
• Address details: saved addresses, including area, city, state, pincode, and — where you allow location access — GPS coordinates and accuracy
• Order details: service/product bookings, slot timing, payment status, and communications relating to an order
• Payment information: processed directly by our payment gateway partner; Remont India stores the transaction outcome (amount, status, method) but not your card or UPI credentials
• Device/technical data: such as browser type and locally cached preferences (e.g. your selected city, cart, or last-used address), stored in your browser's local storage on your own device

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and confirm bookings, dispatch a nearby verified professional, and process payments
• To send order updates via WhatsApp, SMS, or in-app notifications (payment confirmation, professional assigned, work completed, refund status, etc.)
• To provide customer support and resolve refund or service-quality requests
• To improve our matching, pricing, and service quality over time

3. How We Share Your Information

We share only what's necessary for the job to be completed:

• The professional or delivery partner assigned to your order receives your service address and the contact details needed to reach you for that job — not your full account information
• Our payment gateway partner receives what is required to process payment; we do not share your data with them for any other purpose
• We do not sell your personal information to third parties

4. GPS & Location

Location access is always optional — if you decline or your device doesn't provide it, you can still enter your address manually. Where you do share GPS location, we use it to pre-fill your address, suggest your nearest serviced city, and — for active orders — show you a map reference for the service location. A "navigate" link may open Google Maps in a new tab using only the coordinates needed for directions; no account data is shared with Google in that process.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We use your browser's local storage (not third-party tracking cookies) to remember things like your selected city, cart contents, and recently used address, so you don't have to re-enter them each visit. Clearing your browser data will reset these preferences.

6. Data Retention

We retain order records for as long as needed for accounting, warranty, and legal/tax obligations (including GST invoicing requirements). Saved addresses and account details are retained until you request their deletion or close your account.

7. Your Rights

You can view, edit, or delete your saved addresses at any time from your account. You may request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account by writing to remont.care@gmail.com; we will respond within a reasonable time, subject to any records we're legally required to retain (e.g. completed invoices).

8. Children's Privacy

Remont India is intended for use by adults booking services for their homes or businesses and is not directed at children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our services evolve. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
